The Mini DBA Console is the browser interface for database monitoring, alerting, reporting, engine administration, and configuration. It brings together information from one or more connected Mini DBA Engine instances.

Main Navigation

The primary console areas are:

Enterprise View: estate-level summary across connected engines.
Servers: monitored database server configuration.
Alerts: active and historical alert review.
Reports: generated operational reports.
Settings: engine connections, license management, integrations, security, and console options.
Service Log: engine-side log messages.
Web Log: console-side log messages.
About: product, version, licensee, and machine information.

Engine Tree Navigation

After the console connects to a Mini DBA Engine and database servers are added, the side navigation shows platform-specific pages beneath each server. SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, and Oracle each expose pages relevant to that engine type.

Use the tree to move from an estate summary to the exact server, database, query, wait, alert, health check, or log area you need.

The Servers panel toolbar includes a Groups button at the top of the tree. Use it to toggle between a flat server list and a grouped server tree when server group data is available. When grouped view is active, the Edit link opens Server Groups Settings so administrators can add groups, assign servers, and manage group users.

Right-click a server node for server actions such as History, Permissions, Connectivity Log, Connection Info, Start / Stop Sampling, and Disconnect where permitted. Connectivity Log opens a per-server log modal that is useful when troubleshooting database connectivity and sampling failures.

Settings Access

Settings access can be restricted. If the console is not signed in as an administrator, the app may show a settings unavailable message or read-only behavior depending on deployment mode.

Kiosk And MSP Scenarios

Mini DBA can be used in kiosk-style deployments and managed service provider environments. In MSP mode, a single console can connect to multiple Mini DBA Engines and show servers, alerts, metrics, and history across connected instances. The side navigation tree follows the current selected engine, while the global Alerts Current tab is used for active alerts across all engines.

Common Console Workflow

Use Enterprise View for estate health.
Open a server from the navigation tree.
Review activity, queries, waits, memory, and health pages.
Use Alerts to triage open issues.
Use Reports for recurring reviews.
Use Server Groups to organize large estates.
Use Connectivity Log when a server connects intermittently or pages do not populate.
Use Settings for engine connections, license actions, and integrations.
